By visiting our website or placing an order with Little Tide, you agree to the following terms and conditions. Please read them carefully before purchasing.

1. About us

Little Tide is a New Zealand-based children's swimwear brand operating from Blenheim, Marlborough. You can contact us at hello@littletide.co.nz. These terms govern your use of our website and purchases made through it.

2. Orders & Payment

  • All prices are listed in New Zealand Dollars (NZD) unless otherwise stated and include GST where applicable.
  • By placing an order, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old or have the consent of a parent or guardian.
  • We reserve the right to cancel or decline an order where reasonably necessary, including where a product is unavailable, pricing or product information is incorrect, or fraudulent activity is suspected. If payment has already been taken for an order we cancel, the applicable amount will be refunded.
  • Payment is taken at the time of ordering using the payment methods available at checkout.
  • Order confirmation emails are sent automatically. If you don't receive one, please check your spam folder or contact us.

3. Pricing & Availability

  • We do our best to ensure pricing, product information and stock availability are accurate, but errors may occasionally occur.
  • If we discover an error affecting an order, we will contact you as soon as reasonably possible and, where appropriate, provide the option to proceed on the corrected terms or cancel the order for a refund.
  • Product availability is not guaranteed and products may sell out without notice.

4. Shipping

  • Orders are dispatched from Blenheim, Marlborough, New Zealand.
  • Delivery timeframes are estimates and may be affected by peak periods, public holidays, courier delays or circumstances outside our reasonable control.
  • Please ensure your delivery address is correct when placing your order. If you notice an error, contact us as soon as possible and we will do our best to update the address before dispatch.
  • Shipping charges and available delivery options are displayed at checkout and may vary depending on the delivery destination.

5. Returns, Store Credit & Refunds

Eligible change-of-mind and sizing returns are accepted within 14 days of delivery in accordance with our Shipping & Returns policy. Approved change-of-mind and sizing returns are issued as Little Tide store credit rather than a refund to the original payment method.

This does not affect your rights where an item is faulty, damaged, not fit for purpose or otherwise does not meet the guarantees required by New Zealand law.

For eligibility requirements and return instructions, please see our Shipping & Returns page. Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the New Zealand Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 or other applicable consumer law.

6. Pre-Orders

Products marked as pre-order are not available for immediate dispatch. Any estimated dispatch date shown on the product page is an estimate and may change due to circumstances outside our reasonable control.

Pre-orders may be cancelled for a full refund before dispatch. Once a pre-order has been dispatched, our standard Shipping & Returns policy applies.

7. Product Use & Safety

⚠️ WARNING: WILL NOT PROTECT AGAINST DROWNING. USE ONLY UNDER CONSTANT SUPERVISION. NOT FOR USE IN BOATING.

Little Tide swim vests are designed as flotation aids for water familiarisation and swimming tuition. Our swim vest has been independently laboratory tested by SGS to the requirements of AS/NZS 1900:2014.

Before each use:

  • Ensure the vest is the correct size for your child.
  • Adjust all straps and fastenings to achieve a secure and comfortable fit.
  • Check the vest for signs of wear, deterioration or damage.
  • Follow all warnings, instructions and care information supplied with the product.

Little Tide swim vests are swimming and flotation aids and must always be used in accordance with the supplied instructions and under constant adult supervision. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits any liability or consumer right that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.

8. Intellectual Property

All content on this website, including text, images, graphics, logos and product designs, is owned by or licensed to Little Tide and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute or use our content for commercial purposes without our written permission.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by law, Little Tide is not responsible for losses that are indirect or were not reasonably foreseeable. Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded, restricted or modified, including applicable rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 and Fair Trading Act 1986.

10. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of New Zealand. Any dispute relating to these terms or your use of our website will be dealt with in accordance with applicable New Zealand law.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. The terms applicable to an order are those in effect when that order is placed, unless a change is required by law.
